Arrhythmia is an exhibition and sound program that treats irregular rhythm as a lens on contemporary life. Drawing on Henri Lefebvre’s notion of arrhythmia, we approached the exhibition as a space to step inside the breakdown of bodily, social, and technological time.
Across seven installations and a program of DJ/live sets, the project sets to create a landscape of temporal friction and sonic dissonance. It examines how personal, social, and ecological realities are shaped by acceleration, environmental collapse, algorithmic perception, and the erosion of bodily time. Works address computational time‑keeping, censorship in digital cartography, monstrous semi‑fictional characters, post‑industrial prosthetics, spectral blue light, climbing as ritual, and the rhythms of heartbreak.

unlived present is an exhibition in process, beginning with a live sound performance (Aleksandra Nazarova) on the evening of the 16th of January, continuing with an artist talk on the 23rd (Turning Space w/ Catriona Collins), and a sound hunting workshop on the 24th of January (conducted by +++).
Contemporary reality is something felt, modulated, fragmented, unevenly shared, partially unreadable — bodies, machines, sounds, stories perform partial roles without resolving into a single narrative. The exhibition unfolds through gestures, misalignments, attempts, repetitions and puts the artists' works within a shared condition which becomes a field of uncertain relations: a structure for multiple presents to exist, a temporary visual and sonic system.
These are all the reasons you should never leave the house.
A growing pain, a crevice, a moment of silence so unbearable,
a belting yearning for the process to begin; anew.
Leave the house again, this time, better. The laughter subsides,
your steps now echo, indefinite. Somewhere between
the line that was crossed and the closed door,
you welcome the idea.
Fulminance is the mother of courage. Rhymes are confusing,
especially when they don’t rhyme. This time, this place,
this configuration, an unsettling shape of comfort.
Blessed are those who depart when it is due,
for what remains if the limbs do not follow.
Thus you remain; paging Simone Weil
from the fortress of hunger – presence.
Just like if mathematics consisted of addition, only.
Division would seem foreign, but I’m certain, hunger,
they would know. Regardless, it is imperative to continue
as though absence were not only absence but abscess,
and something, then, would surely grow.
Until then, you persist; generous with your love. You stay
in space hoping space will close, adequately. A reaching hand
grazes the beam, but they give it the connection.
The crowd applauds in an uneven cadence.

exhibition #1, Culterim, 2025
A sound-based encounter with heartbreak. Drawing on the operatic figure of Mimì from La Bohème; how are love and suffering culturally scripted, repeatedly performed, aestheticized, and increasingly measured; the unresolved state of emotional aftermath.
The installation consists of 7 tracks. By placing a finger on the sensor, the measured heart frequency of the listener determines which and how each composition is activated.

be nice is a sound installation and sculptural work. A suspended hoodie, meshed from the inside to suggest a body, emanating sound from within.
An ironic, deliberate provocation: what happens when the demand to be nice suppresses the messiness of rage, conflict, and the potential of hate? The installation traces a trajectory: rage / hate > conflict / break > repair / change, and mirrors the ability of hate to be destructive and constructive, personal and political. Where disdain equals indifference and superiority, sustaining domination, hate also carries other potential. (Şeyda Kurt, Hass. Von der Macht eines widerständigen Gefühls, 2023)
